Studying Abroad.. In Dublin, Ireland!

Posted by Stephanie Rukavina on Thu, May 08, 2014 @ 09:25 AM

Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie Rukavina. I am currently a junior enrolled at Saint Vincent College, where I am majoring in Early Childhood Education (Grades Pre-K-4). This summer I am heading to Dublin, Ireland for an internship I received at a Montessori School right in the heart of the city. I would like to thank the Saint Vincent study abroad program, particularly Sara Hart, (woot woot!) for helping me to set this all in motion.

Cliffs of Moher Sunset wallpaperStudying abroad has always been a huge dream of mine, and I can't even believe that I am making this dream a reality! My departure date is May 15th, which is coming up very quick... 7 days away to be exact! (I have had a countdown for months now.. :)) I will be sad to say goodbye to all of my friends and family in a few days, but I will only be gone for 2 months, so it won't be too hard. Also, I'm going to be there with 3 of my friends that also attend Saint Vincent College: Maria Jarvis, Nubia Williams, and Morgan Zider. So this will be comforting because we will all be in the same boat (maybe even literally!). While I'm over there, I plan on traveling as much as I can with my friends. We plan on going to London and Paris, and of course traveling all over Ireland.

Anyways, I just finished up finals and am packing up all of my things to head home. In the next few days I will, again, be packing up a lot of my things, but in suitcases...This time, I will be traveling to an entirely different country! I am flying out of Pittsburgh on the 15th, and will be boarding another plane in Philadelphia, then on to Ireland. I will be in the air for 17 hours, so I need to make sure my carry-ons are stuffed with entertaining things! I can't wait to leave and I look forward to blogging and sharing my future experiences with anyone that is following along! :)
