One of the best parts of my Saint Vincent College experience to date has been the SAP Business One (SAP B1) program, run by Professor Robert Markley in the McKenna School. As a college freshman, my goal was to find a major that would allow me to land a “good” job upon graduation. Little did I know that with a major in the McKenna School, I was eligible to participate in the SAP B1 program. SAP B1 is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which means it is computer software that basically runs all functions of a business (financials, payroll, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, etc.) The SAP B1 program at Saint Vincent is the only program at any undergraduate college in the U.S. You apply during the spring of your sophomore year, and I was elated to be selected. After completing quizzes, exercises, a workshop and a conference visit over the past year, I have earned my internship for the summer in Scottsdale, Arizona, with MWA Forza Intelligence. I couldn't be more excited for my internship, or to see where else the SAP B1 program, along with the rest of my Saint Vincent College education, will take me.
