“I think my biggest challenge of being at Saint Vincent is being so far away from home. My parents live about five hours away, sometimes it's tough being up here. For example, we had a scrimmage yesterday and we didn’t play too well and those are times where I really want to talk to my parents and be around them, but you kind of just have to toughen up and I think that’s what makes Saint Vincent so great. The camaraderie here, everyone is so close and it’s such a tight-knit campus that it’s kind of a blessing in disguise not having your family around but being able to have your second family, your teammates, your friends, the Saint Vincent population.”
