Colin McLaughlin

When I first stepped onto campus on move-in-day in August of 2013, all I could think about was the life I was leaving behind in Pittsburgh and not about all of the amazing opportunities I had in front of me. Once I realized what getting involved on campus could do for me, my college experience changed for the better. I will never be able to express how thankful I am for all the opportunities I have had here at Saint Vincent College and my biggest piece of advice that I want to leave with current students and incoming freshmen is to get involved.  Find some way to get involved and find your family, whether it's a club on campus, a group of people in a residence hall hanging out or having lunch with some one new in the shack.  Find a way to get involved, because after I got involved I went from not enjoying college at all to wishing that my time here would never end.  With graduation a week a way, I do not regret a single day of my time here at Saint Vincent.  To the students returning in the fall, especially the upcoming senior class, never wish a day away because the time will fly by. Although your time here at Saint Vincent will go way faster than you want it to, always remember, Once a Bearcat, Always a Bearcat.
